Training Hard In Colorado

午安 (wǔān) Good afternoon,

Hopefully, everyone is having a great weekend and getting a chance to have a little fun. My training in Colorado continues to go well as I prepare for USA Push Championships September 1-6. This is the first big test of the season for me and I am ready to ROCK!! This off-season has been extremely long I have been waiting to mix it up a little and put steel to ice. I feel that hint of chill in the air and that means it about GO TIME (Jerry Sinfeld refference) LET THE SNOW FALL AND THE ICE FREEZE HARD AND FAST THE KID IS COMING!!!! I joke about it but seriously I am licking my chops right now IMMORTAL is here!

On another note I trust that everyone has had a chance to walk some of the Summer Olympic games. They have been really fun and sad to watch at times, but hey not all Olympic stories can have a happy ending. But one story I did think that was pretty great was a story about 21 year old Henery Cejudo who won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 55kg weight class. You have to read the story http://www.nbcolympics.com/wrestling/news/newsid=233761.html#cejudo+slides+into+golden+role it is great!
Also, I have been thoroughly impressed and inspired by watching some of the Paralympic athlete's here train as they get ready to go over to Beijing for the Paralympic Games http://en.paralympic.beijing2008.cn/. Some of these athletes are missing anywhere from one to four limbs and they are in the weight room, the gym, the track, and in the swimming pool working just as hard if not harder then non-paralympic athletes! They are getting it done BIG TIME!!

Just a random Jesse note; the weather out here in Colorado Springs is a little crazy at times to say the least. It could be sunny and not a cloud in the sky and all of a sudden you look up and its starting to rain. I know we are close to the military base and I am starting to think the clouds around here have stolen some stealth cloaking technology cause no one ever sees these bad boys coming! However, I still can not help to laugh a little when I see people going to layout at the pool and about five minutes into it you see them running to their rooms.....because someone forgot to check the weather forecast! No no let's not point fingers, I am not the only one who has ever laughed at someones slight misfortune..lol its the small things that make us laugh in life. And to everyone's life a little rain shall fall not sure who said it first but they could have been watching someone run out of the rain when they came up with it......Yeah...think about it. lol

I almost forgot their is a link on the my website www.jessebeckom3.com that will tell you all the info you need to know about Vancouver 2010 just click on the link that is on my page and it will take you there!

Take care and God Bless
